Just Steps is committed to making its marketing site at juststeps.io accessible to as many people as possible, in line with the EU Web Accessibility Directive as implemented in Dutch law (Tijdelijk besluit digitale toegankelijkheid overheid for public-sector bodies; for us as a private company, the same standards are applied voluntarily).

1. Compliance status

This site is designed to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. We have not yet completed a formal audit, so we describe the status as "partially compliant" and welcome reports of issues.

2. What we have done

  • Semantic HTML for navigation, headings, and landmarks.
  • Sufficient text contrast on the brand palette (Slate #2A2925 on Paper #FAF9F6) — verified against WCAG AA at body sizes.
  • Visible focus states on all interactive elements.
  • The site respects the prefers-reduced-motion setting.
  • No information is conveyed by colour alone.
  • The site is fully keyboard navigable.
  • The page is responsive and remains usable at 200% zoom.

3. Known limitations

We have not yet completed an external accessibility audit. The following items are on our review list:

  • Independent screen-reader testing across NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
  • A formal contrast audit of all UI states (hover, focus, disabled).
  • Confirmation of correct language attributes when switching between EN and NL.

4. Reporting an accessibility issue

If you experience an accessibility barrier on this site, please write to accessibility@juststeps.io. Please include:

  • The URL of the page where you encountered the issue.
  • A short description of the problem.
  • The browser and assistive technology you were using, if relevant.

We aim to acknowledge reports within 5 working days and to resolve confirmed accessibility issues within a reasonable timeframe.

5. Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can ask the Netherlands Institute for Human Rights (College voor de Rechten van de Mens) for an opinion at mensenrechten.nl.

6. Preparation of this statement

This statement was last reviewed on the date shown above. It was prepared by the Just Steps team based on internal review. An external audit is planned and this statement will be updated when it is complete.

Just Steps zet zich in om haar marketingwebsite op juststeps.io toegankelijk te maken voor zoveel mogelijk mensen, in lijn met de Europese Richtlijn inzake toegankelijkheid van overheidswebsites zoals geïmplementeerd in Nederlandse wetgeving (Tijdelijk besluit digitale toegankelijkheid overheid voor overheidsinstanties; als private onderneming hanteren wij deze normen vrijwillig).

1. Nalevingsstatus

Deze website is ontworpen om te voldoen aan WCAG 2.2 niveau AA. Wij hebben nog geen formele audit afgerond; daarom beschrijven wij de status als "gedeeltelijk conform" en stellen wij meldingen van knelpunten op prijs.

2. Wat wij hebben gedaan

  • Semantische HTML voor navigatie, koppen en landmarks.
  • Voldoende tekstcontrast in het kleurenpalet (Slate #2A2925 op Paper #FAF9F6) — gecontroleerd tegen WCAG AA bij bodyformaten.
  • Zichtbare focus-staten op alle interactieve elementen.
  • De website respecteert de instelling prefers-reduced-motion.
  • Geen informatie wordt uitsluitend overgebracht via kleur.
  • De website is volledig met het toetsenbord te bedienen.
  • De pagina is responsive en blijft bruikbaar bij 200% zoom.

3. Bekende beperkingen

Wij hebben nog geen externe toegankelijkheidsaudit afgerond. De volgende punten staan op onze beoordelingslijst:

  • Onafhankelijke screenreadertesten met NVDA, JAWS en VoiceOver.
  • Een formele contrastaudit van alle UI-staten (hover, focus, disabled).
  • Verificatie van correcte taal-attributen bij wisselen tussen EN en NL.

4. Een toegankelijkheidsprobleem melden

Ervaart u een toegankelijkheidsbarrière op deze website, schrijf dan naar accessibility@juststeps.io. Vermeld daarbij:

  • De URL van de pagina waar u het probleem tegenkwam.
  • Een korte beschrijving van het probleem.
  • De browser en hulptechnologie die u gebruikte, indien relevant.

Wij streven ernaar meldingen binnen 5 werkdagen te bevestigen en bevestigde knelpunten binnen redelijke termijn op te lossen.

5. Klachten

Bent u niet tevreden met onze reactie, dan kunt u het College voor de Rechten van de Mens verzoeken om een oordeel via mensenrechten.nl.

6. Totstandkoming van deze verklaring

Deze verklaring is voor het laatst beoordeeld op de bovengenoemde datum. Zij is opgesteld door het Just Steps-team op basis van interne beoordeling. Een externe audit is gepland; deze verklaring wordt bijgewerkt zodra die is afgerond.
